Monalisa Nights presents KASANGO in Cabo

Join us for a night where Cabo’s finest meet the global stage. Kicking off the evening are local legends DJ Alexander Ayala and DJ Floren, setting the tone with house rhythms and signature Baja energy.

Then, international headliner KASANGO takes you into a deep Afro-house journey — direct from the festival stages of South Africa and Europe, now making his Mexico debut.

Who is KASANGO?

Kasango has risen to become a truly global DJ, playing over 120 shows on every continent in the last 12 months. One thing is consistent with this artist: his exposure can only be justified by his hard work and love for music. He has a smile and musical selection that emit his passion behind the decks, reaching far beyond the booth and the dance floor.

Born with a natural ear for music, love for beats, and a passion for mixing, Kasmario Thulani Ike Fankis, best known as Kasango, thrives in all things music. Hailing from Welkom, a small town in the Free State, South Africa, Kasango knew that music was what he needed to do. At the age of 16, he discovered House Music, instantly fell in love, and so the journey began. Inspired by many South African House DJs who had found wider recognition on the world stage, his appetite for consuming music became an obsession.

‘Growing up in South Africa was awesome because I got to experience dance music from all over the world and dive into different subgenres. In 2006, I got hit hard by the music bug and knew I wanted to be part of the music scene somehow. The game-changer for me was in 2009 when I saw Black Coffee perform in my hometown, that’s when I knew I wanted to be a DJ.’

2019 was a pivotal year, Kasango’s debut song ‘One Night’ featuring Jamie Fallon Smith was featured on Black Coffee’s Appreciation Mix For 2019, winning him much praise and recognition from his peers within the scene. He went on to produce hit songs like ‘Osama’ ft grammy award winning artist Zakes Bantwini earning him the much-coveted BBC Radio One Essential New Tune by Pete Tong. The support continued over the last few years since that release, with Pete Tong awarding him another ENT in November 2024 for his brilliant remix of the London band TMPLE.

More musical highlights continue through 2025, which also sees the launch of his own label KASA MUSIC.
